ABOUT THE TOUR
Cadini - Ceria Merlone (A/B): A highly adventurous via ferrata, a special treat for lovers of wild Dolomite via ferratas. Countless ladders, some with adventurous anchors for an extra thrill, lead through the vertical rock faces, offering practically only "technical" climbing, all the way to the northeast summit of Cadini. Some will love it, others won't find this via ferrata so successful – in fact, it's a relic from the 1960s that certainly exudes its own charm and appeal. Undeniable is the magnificent view and panorama of the Three Peaks, Cristallo, and Sorapis in the immediate vicinity of the summit.

PROGRAM
A quick tip: If you want to shorten the tour a bit, you can climb to the Fondo Savio Hut the day before, and we'll meet at the hut in the morning. This shortens the otherwise somewhat longer tour, with 1,000 meters of elevation gain, to 600 meters. For everyone else, the meeting point is directly at the parking lot.
The hiking trail takes us to the Fondo Savio Hut in about 1.5 hours. Past the hut, we enter the impressive "Cadin del Nevaio" cirque and continue to the start. We can already see the route of the via ferrata from the Fondo Savio Hut.
Once we reach the start, we'll put on our via ferrata gear. If you feel unwell, we can also be secured with the mountain guide's rope. Now we have more than 300 rungs and 300 meters of vertical ladder climbing ahead of us. Finally, we'll continue over scree and scree to the summit (I).
The panorama, with the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Cristallo massif, and the Sorapis in the immediate vicinity, is truly breathtakingly beautiful.
The descent follows the same ascent route and requires some improvisation and mutual respect for the oncoming via ferrata climbers. The relatively low difficulty rating (A/B) compared to the great exposure and adventurous anchors attracts many slightly overwhelmed mountaineers who can barely move in the face of oncoming traffic. Therefore, we, at least, should be well-equipped to meet the challenge.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
