ABOUT THE TOUR

Gran Paradiso - Ski Touring: The Gran Paradiso is a top-class ski mountain. At 4,061 meters, it's a popular peak, offering an ideal introduction to the world of the 4,000-meter peaks in the Alps on touring skis. The route to the 4,061-meter summit is relatively less difficult than almost all other 4,000-meter peaks in the Alps.

PROGRAM

The meeting point and starting point for our two-day ascent of the Gran Paradiso is the large parking lot at the end of the Val Savarenche valley near Pont.

After a quick gear check at the parking lot, we head directly to the Vittorio Emanuele II Hut. (approx. 2.5 hours / 750 meters of elevation gain) - where we will spend the night.

The next day, we'll head over beautiful ski slopes and glaciated terrain to the summit structure.

We'll leave our skis in the ski depot and climb the short, but airy and beautiful ridge to the summit with its snow-white Madonna statue. (Approx. 5 hours from the hut and 1,500 meters of elevation gain)

This is followed by a long and enjoyable descent back to the hut and then back to the valley.

Tip:
3 days in Gran Paradiso: In addition to the Gran Paradiso, there are other wonderful ski touring options that invite you to stay another day at the Vittorio Emanuele Hut and spend three days in the Gran Paradiso National Park. I would be happy to make you an offer for another day of ski touring upon request.

An unforgettable ski tour in the Aosta Valley with a 4,000-meter peak as the highlight for two (or three) wonderful days of ski touring in the Gran Paradiso National Park.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
