ABOUT THE TOUR
Hexenstein - Ferrata Sottotenente Fusetti (B/C): A pleasant via ferrata on the sunny side of the Hexenstein, amidst war relics and tunnels from the First World War. A wonderful adventure for children and history-loving mountaineers. The via ferrata on the Hexenstein has many surprises in store. First, it leads through old war tunnels right through the mountain (don't forget your headlamp!), where you suddenly find yourself on the south side in front of the vertical rock face, through which the subsequent via ferrata leads. Once at the top, the route continues through the old trenches to the summit, passing numerous positions on the descent back to the Valparola Pass. Both the approach and the descent are very entertaining due to the special conditions. A great via ferrata for families where you can experience history up close and understand what it must have meant to fight as a soldier on the Dolomites front.

PROGRAM
We'll meet at the parking lot near the Tre Sassi Fortress. Here, we'll quickly check our gear to make sure we have everything we need before we head out in search of the entrance to the "Goiginger Stollen." A war tunnel through the middle of the Hexenstein, a remarkable 500 meters long. Over the course of the day, it becomes clear that the Hexenstein was one of the most hotly contested mountains in World War I and a very important post for the Austro-Hungarian army. The subsequent via ferrata runs through the vertical rock face on the south side. The route continues through numerous positions and front-line trenches to the summit and back down the other side of the mountain to the Valparola Pass. Overall, a wonderfully varied and never-boring tour, where you not only cross the Hexenstein, but also walk through it. Where else can you experience something like this? =)
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
