ABOUT THE TOUR

Kesselkogel Traverse (B): The highest peak in the Rosengarten Group and the only 3,000-meter peak in this area can be traversed with a beautiful via ferrata combination. The long approaches to the Kesselkogel, located far from any roads in the heart of the Rosengarten, make this traverse a perfect 2- or 3-day tour, combining it with other wonderful via ferratas in this region. Even as a slightly longer day trip, this peak promises a wonderful and unforgettable day in the mountains and the Dolomites.

PROGRAM

The shortest approach is via Vigo di Fassa (parking in Pera) and then by shuttle bus to Rifugio Gardeccia. From here, it takes just under three hours to reach the base of the Kesselkogel face, where the via ferrata begins.

At the start, we'll put on our via ferrata gear and begin the enjoyable, never particularly difficult, ascent to the summit of the Kesselkogel. A varied tour that skillfully follows the easiest ascent route up this spectacular rock colossus. At the summit, we'll enjoy a wonderful view from the highest point in the Catinaccio massif.

The descent follows the east side of the mountain on an equally easy via ferrata (A). Once at the foot of the mountain, another ascent awaits us up to the Antermoiaspass. From the gap, we return to our starting point at Rifugio Gardeccia. If we miss the last shuttle, we'll have about an additional hour of descent back to Pera.

*Tip: To fully enjoy this wonderful region, we recommend spending several days in the Rosengarten. Here, we can plan dreamy via ferrata tours, from 2 or 3 days to entire weeks. We'll stay in the most beautiful huts in the heart of the Rosengarten and perhaps discover where this mountain range gets its name! ;) ...Just let me know when you inquire if I can put together a quote for a multi-day tour and how many days you'd like to spend exploring the massif. There's a lot to discover here.
Important: Due to some of the small huts and the high demand, it's essential to book early to ensure we have room!

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
