ABOUT THE TOUR

Kleine Cirspitze Via Ferrata (B/C): A short but challenging via ferrata leads from the Gardena Pass to the Kleine Cirspitze. This tour can often be done quite early in the via ferrata season, given Dolomite conditions – thanks to the south-facing aspect of this tour. It's also a great via ferrata for beginners, challenging without being overwhelming. An emergency exit is also available should anyone take on too much. The small, exposed summit offers a fantastic panorama, and for those who haven't had enough after the Kleine Cirspitze, the Große Cirspitze is another Dolomite peak with easy via ferrata sections.

PROGRAM

At the parking lot, we'll conduct a quick gear check and distribute any necessary rental equipment.

From the Gardena Pass, we'll ascend approximately 250 meters along the southern slopes below the Cir peaks on beautiful hiking trails to the starting point.

Once at the starting point, we'll put on our climbing harnesses and helmets and assemble our via ferrata equipment. Those who aren't yet feeling completely comfortable will be secured with the mountain guide's rope to ensure the via ferrata experience is enjoyable for everyone.

Now, we'll skillfully follow the easiest route through the steep rock faces of the small Cir peak to the small summit, offering breathtaking panoramic views, particularly of the Sella and Sassolungo massifs. From the summit, we'll first follow passages secured by wire ropes to a notch and then climb a steep scree gully back to the starting point.

If you've now acquired a taste for the challenge, you can also climb the slightly higher and longer, but technically much easier, Grande Cir peak (A).

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
