A week from hut to hut through the wild Brenta – on airy via ferratas up steep faces and right through the striking rock world of the Brenta Dolomites.

Via Ferrata Week - Brenta: Some of the boldest and airiest via ferratas await us in the wild Brenta Group. Going from hut to hut, we traverse this fascinating range, often along vertical rock faces with impressive views straight down. A week in the mountains that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
Via ferratas planned on our route: Sentiero Alfredo Benini (B), Bocchette Alte (C), Bocchette Centrale (B), Sentiero attrezzato Brentari (C), Castiglioni (C), Sentiero attrezzato Ideale (B/C) and the SOSAT via ferrata (B/C).
If you have some via ferrata experience and fancy a classic multi-day hut tour in the Brenta Dolomites, this is just the thing for you.

PROGRAMME
Day 1: Arrival and walk to the Tuckett Hut
We meet in the morning in Madonna di Campiglio at the car park of the Grostè cable car. After a short gear check, we take the cable car up. Passing the Cima del Grostè, the Campanile dei Camosci, the Campanile Falkner and many other towers, we follow the Sentiero Alfredo Benini to the Rifugio Tuckett, our accommodation for the first night.

Day 2: Bocchette Alte
From the hut we climb up to the Bocca del Tuckett and follow the Bocchette Alte via ferrata, past the Cima di Brenta and across a short glacier section, to our next accommodation, the Rifugio Alimonta.

Day 3: Bocchette Centrale
Today brings one of the highlights of the week. First we cross the Vedretta di Sfulmini to the Bocca degli Armi, where the bold Bocchette Centrale via ferrata begins. Passing the famous Campanile Basso, we reach our next accommodation, the Rifugio Pedrotti.

Day 4: Brentari to the Agostini Hut
On the fourth day we follow the Sentiero attrezzato Brentari past the Cima Tosa and over the Bocca di Tosa down to the Rifugio Agostini.

Day 5: Castiglioni and Ideale
After the somewhat shorter stage the day before, today we head to the Rifugio Brentei. We reach our destination via the Castiglioni via ferrata, which leads us past the Rifugio XII Apostoli. We then continue along the Sentiero attrezzato Ideale and the Martinazzi path to the Rifugio Brentei.

Day 6: Descent to Vallesinella
On the last day of our Brenta traverse we follow the SOSAT via ferrata to the Tuckett Hut, where we leave the impressive rock world of the Brenta behind. We then descend to the Rifugio Casinei and on to the Rifugio Vallesinella, where a taxi takes us back to Madonna di Campiglio.

Who is this via ferrata week suitable for?
The week is ideal for sure-footed mountaineers with good fitness and solid via ferrata experience. You should enjoy the longer stages and the continuous character of a hut-to-hut tour in the Brenta.
What equipment do I need?
The detailed packing list comes with the confirmation email. Above all, you need suitable footwear and via ferrata equipment. Any missing gear can be rented from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.
Do we stay in huts all week?
Yes, we spend the entire week moving between different rifugi in the Brenta Dolomites. That is exactly what makes this tour so appealing: walking from hut to hut, setting off early and experiencing a new section of the Via delle Bocchette every day.
