PROGRAM

The meeting point is in Sulden at the parking lot of the Schaubachhütte cable car. (When booking, an alternative meeting point can be arranged so we can travel to Sulden together.)

At the parking lot, we'll do a quick gear check before setting off into the night.

An early start is very important for this tour. The steep eastern gully is exposed to direct sunlight from sunrise onwards.

We'll first climb up the piste by the light of our headlamps, then over the glacial moraines and finally over the Suldenferner glacier to the start of the eastern gully.

Here we'll change into our crampons and stow our skis in our backpacks.

Crossing the eastern gully, where we'll likely experience a beautiful sunrise, we'll reach a wide traverse ledge that leads us to the summit flank.

Across a short, exposed ridge, we continue to the summit with a breathtaking view down the north face.

From here, we'll have a fantastic view of countless glaciers and high peaks.

The descent then follows our ascent route. Good conditions and perfect timing are essential for this demanding alpine ski tour. Then the descent, despite its steepness and exposure, becomes a pleasure.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
