PROGRAM

At the parking lot, we'll conduct a quick gear check and distribute any necessary rental equipment.

From the Sella Pass, we'll take a leisurely cable car ride to the Toni Demetz Hut, then descend a few meters to the start of the via ferrata. Alternatively, we can also make the ascent on foot. We'll first follow the beautiful hiking trails past the Stone City and climb switchbacks up the typical Dolomite cirque to the start (approx. 1:30 hours).

Once at the start, we'll put on our climbing harnesses and helmets and assemble our via ferrata equipment. Those who aren't yet feeling completely comfortable will be secured with the mountain guide's rope to ensure the via ferrata experience is enjoyable for everyone. Right at the start, we'll have to overcome the first tricky C-section.

The ascent is varied, crossing the rocky spur between the imposing Sassolungo and the equally impressive Fünffingerspitze. Challenging climbing sections alternate with good rest stops. Among other things, a comfortable wooden bench with a fantastic panorama invites you to linger and enjoy the view halfway up before it's time to tackle the upper section again.

From the exit at the Sassolungo Forcella, it's a stone's throw to the Toni Demetz Hut, where we can refuel and begin the descent back to the Sella Pass with renewed energy. Or we can take it easy again and take the unique cable car back to the Sella Pass.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
