PROGRAM
At the parking lot, we'll conduct a quick gear check and distribute any necessary rental equipment.
We'll take the chairlift to the Paolina Hut and hike past the Rotwand Hut to the start of the Masare via ferrata.
Once we reach the start, we'll put on our climbing harnesses and helmets and assemble our via ferrata equipment. Those who aren't yet feeling completely comfortable will be secured with the mountain guide's rope to ensure the via ferrata experience is enjoyable for everyone.
The via ferrata is always varied, with some challenging passages rated C, leading along numerous ridge towers, sometimes along the ridge, then through deep crevasses and corners, or over exposed wall sections across the Masare ridge.
We'll have plenty of time to enjoy the stunning panorama, take in the landscape, and catch our breath before the next section challenges us again. At the end, we'll enjoy a well-deserved refreshment at the Rotwand Hut before returning to the Paolina Hut via the hiking trail.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
