ABOUT THE TOUR
Maximilian Via Ferrata (B): A beautiful ridge traverse high above the Seiser Alm. This via ferrata was built by the innkeeper of the Tierser Alpl in 1969 and offers a fantastic opportunity to climb the Rosszähne (Ross Teeth) to the Roterdspitze (Ross Crest). It's ideal both as a day trip from the Seiser Alm and as an introductory tour to larger goals (such as the Laurenzi Via Ferrata the following day). One should not underestimate the fact that some sections of the ridge are not secured by ropes and require surefootedness, a head for heights, and concentration.

PROGRAM
We'll arrange a meeting point and time upon booking. One option is to meet at the parking lot of the cable car to the Seiser Alm. We'll briefly check that we've brought everything and then take the chairlift to the Panorama Hut.
This is followed by a longer approach to the entrance of the climbing garden via the Rosszahnscharte col, and then a short descent to the Tierser Alpl. We can also reach the hut via St. Cyprian through the beautiful Tschamintal valley, which takes only slightly longer, is significantly less touristy, and the scenery is almost even more beautiful.
From the refuge, we'll reach the start of the via ferrata relatively quickly, where we'll put on our gear and the Maximilian Via Ferrata adventure can begin. First, we'll climb up a gorge to the ridge and then continue along the wonderfully exposed ridge (not always secured by ropes) to the Roterdspitze, where we can look down from above onto Europe's largest high alpine pasture, the Seiser Alm.
The hiking trail takes us back to the hut on the other side of the summit without any further via ferrata sections.
*Tip: The relatively long approach compared to the length of the via ferrata, the countless options in the immediate vicinity, and the excellent Tierser Alpl Hut invite you to spend several days in this area and add more via ferratas. Please let me know when you inquire if I can put together a customized package for you for 2, 3... days – or even a whole week in the Catinaccio. The options are magnificent – just like the experience of immersing yourself in this dreamy Catinaccio massif for several days.
Important: Due to some of the small huts and the high demand, it is necessary to book early to ensure we have enough space!
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
