ABOUT THE TOUR
San Michele - Rio Secco Via Ferrata (C): A classic in the Adige Valley is the Rio Secco Via Ferrata, which leads through the canyon above San Michele in several steep, challenging steps. The name suggests that the streambed is dry. However, this is usually only the case in autumn. Nevertheless, due to its orientation and low elevation, this via ferrata can be climbed practically year-round. Even in the summer months, the gorge and dense forests remain pleasantly cool.

PROGRAM
From the meeting point, we tackle the short approach to this via ferrata and reach the first wire rope after about 15 minutes. Afterwards, we'll enjoy the fantastic climbing spots on the left and right of the canyon walls, secured by the wire rope. We'll also cross or follow the streambed at regular intervals. Passing the cairn cemetery in the middle of the via ferrata, we climb ever higher through this beautiful gorge. The via ferrata will take us a good two hours, and the moderate difficulty level will certainly challenge us. At the exit, we'll begin the descent, happy and satisfied with what we've just accomplished, and reflect on a successful day.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
