On the Speikboden a pirate adventure awaits, where children scramble along the via ferrata, play and board the pirate ship.

Speikboden - Piraten-Kinder-Klettersteig (A/B): A really lovely pirate-themed via ferrata for the little ones. Very creative features with cannonballs and nets, climbing sections along the "sword's edge" and many more surprises. The kids' goal is to "board" the pirate ship at the end of the via ferrata. A truly successful adventure where children can let off steam scrambling.
The Speikboden also offers a great day out for the whole family, with lots of attractions. A forest slide park, petting zoo, hay jumping and more make sure there is never a dull moment. If the kids enjoy the Piraten-Klettersteig, they can then move on to the somewhat "feistier" Michl Klettersteig (B/C), where a bit more muscle is needed. A day of sport and fun for the whole family!

PROGRAMME
We meet at the car park of the gondola up to the Speikboden near Sand in Taufers in the Ahrntal. With our via ferrata gear in our rucksacks, we ride the cable car up to almost 2,000 metres above sea level. Numerous attractions await us up here.
We will head straight for the Piraten-Klettersteig to let off steam and try to board the pirate ship. Afterwards, we can refuel at one of the many huts and explore more attractions for the kids. If the little ones still have not had enough of climbing, we move on to the somewhat more challenging Michl Klettersteig.
Whatever happens, we will adapt flexibly to the little ones and the whole family and put together a great day in the mountains.

What age is the Piraten-Klettersteig designed for?
The Piraten-Klettersteig (pirate via ferrata) was designed for children aged between six and twelve. With its playful features on the Speikboden, it is a great introduction for kids who love climbing. We adapt the day flexibly to the children's experience and motivation.
How strenuous is the tour for children and parents?
The circuit is short and very manageable as a day tour. As a guide, allow around 1.5 hours in total and about 100 metres of ascent and descent. If you still feel like more afterwards, you can extend the day on the Speikboden with further attractions or the Michl Klettersteig.
What should we bring for the tour?
Above all, you will need sturdy shoes and suitable clothing for a day in the mountains. The detailed packing list comes with the confirmation email. Via ferrata equipment can be rented from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.
