ABOUT THE TOUR

Vallon Via Ferrata - Piz Boe (C): There are several ways to reach the highest point of the Sella. One of the most beautiful and also quieter spots is the variant via the Vallon Via Ferrata from the northeast side. A varied circular tour with a short but truly beautiful and challenging via ferrata, which transforms this otherwise impressive mountain tour into an unforgettable experience. The alternative descent makes for an entertaining circular tour in a fantastic setting in the heart of the Sella Massif in the Dolomites.

PROGRAM

We meet directly at the valley station of the Boé cable car in Corvara (Val Badia). After a quick equipment check, we'll take the cable car to "Crep de Munt" and then a little further on with the Vallon chairlift.

We'll then hike from the mountain station to the entrance to the Vallon via ferrata, where we'll put on our via ferrata gear and begin climbing.

We'll initially ascend over relatively easy sections (max. A/B) until we cross a bridge below a waterfall. From the bridge, the via ferrata becomes a bit tougher, and we'll climb over the steep exit wall (C) to the exit.

From the exit, we'll continue along the hiking trail to the highest point of the Sella massif, the 3,152-meter-high Piz Boe. Once at the summit, we'll let our gaze wander over the unique lunar landscape of the Sella plateau and enjoy the wonderful panorama.

For the descent we will choose the Lichtenfelsenweg to get back to the Franz Kostner Hut and from there to the cable car, which will take us back to Corvara in a relaxed manner.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
