PROGRAM
We meet at the parking lot at the Enzian Inn at the head of the Martell valley. (Alternatively, a different meeting point can be agreed upon when booking, and we will travel together to the starting point of the tour.)
As a day trip:
From the parking lot, we first head towards the Marteller Hut and continue over the Zufallferner Glacier to the summit of Cevedale. The final summit slope is a bit steeper. From Cevedale, the highest point of the Zufallspitze is not far away, and we reach it via a short, easy connecting ridge. There are two options for the descent: Return over beautiful slopes along the ascent trail – or descend easily over a short, rocky ridge to the Fürkeleferner Glacier and ski down over it. In both cases, we pass the Marteller Hut again and return to the parking lot.
2-day option:
Day 1: Ascent to the Marteller Hut and Cima Marmotta
After a quick gear check, we begin our ascent. We climb to the Marteller Hut and leave everything we don't need there.
Afterwards, there's still enough time to climb one of the less lofty surrounding peaks (such as Cima Marmotta).
Day 2: Zufallspitze and Cevedale
On the second day, we head from the Marteller Hut across the Zufallferner glacier toward the summit of Cevedale. The final slope becomes slightly steeper. From Cevedale, the highest point of Zufallspitze is not far away, and we reach it via a short, easy connecting ridge. There are two options for the descent: returning over beautiful slopes along the ascent trail, or descending easily over a short, rocky ridge to the Fürkeleferner glacier and descending over it. In both cases, we pass the Marteller Hut again and return to the parking lot.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
