ABOUT THE TOUR

Overnight stays in the mountains: South Tyrol has been boasting the most beautiful and modern luxury hotels for many years. Five-star hotels are becoming more and more common, but the most beautiful of all is our Million Star Hotel, which has always existed: a night in the mountains under the open sky. Combined with a beautiful mountain hike, we'll head to one of the many beautiful spots in the South Tyrolean mountains. We'll bring our own dinner and prepare it. We'll have a sleeping bag, bivouac sack, and sleeping mat with us (and a tent in case of unexpected rain). We'll experience a starry sky that many will never see in their lives. Thanks to South Tyrol's relatively sparsely populated area (just 500,000 inhabitants live in an area of 7,500 km²), light pollution is minimal, the mountain air is clear, and the view of the Milky Way and endless stars is unobstructed. With a bit of luck, we might even spot the odd shooting star. For this tour you need a bit of a sense of adventure and the motivation to carry a slightly heavier backpack, but then this tour will be an unforgettable experience that is suitable for the whole family.

PROGRAM

We'll meet at the starting point for our mountain hike in the early afternoon and then ascend throughout the afternoon, depending on our chosen destination. Once we reach our destination, we'll settle in, prepare a delicious dinner, and set up our sleeping quarters.

We'll end the evening around the campfire (only if the risk of forest fires allows it) with exciting and funny stories from our lives and then settle down in our sleeping bags. Should it rain at night, we'll also have a tent with us for emergency shelter.

One of our top priorities on this tour is to convey a love of nature and respect for the sensitive mountain ecosystem. There's hardly a more beautiful and intense experience than spending the night outdoors in nature, but you must be aware that you're only a guest for a short time and that you'll leave these beautiful natural spaces clean and without leaving any trace.

Unfortunately, there are too many people in our society who have no connection to nature and have never learned to treat the environment with respect. They leave their trash lying around, damage ecosystems, and behave as if they were alone in this world. The sad consequence of this is that it no longer works without bans almost everywhere in the world.

We firmly believe that with the most basic rules of common sense, this is no problem and therefore strictly adhere to the following rules:
- No trash is left behind (everything we carry uphill is brought back down into the valley).
- Campfires are only lit at a safe distance from the forest and in secured fire pits.
- We only use deadwood for fires and do not cut down healthy, green trees.
- We camp in suitable locations without damaging ecosystems.
- Use the toilet at a safe distance from water and streams.
- Used toilet paper goes into the campfire and does not remain on the pile.

These are simple principles that can be easily followed. This allows us to return from this unforgettable experience with a good feeling and to learn a lot about nature, which is a great satisfaction and enrichment.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
