We are a small and we are working towards a common goal: to provide our customers with professional support from the initial inquiry to their safe return from their booked tours, always giving them a good feeling!

Südtirolalpin has been around since 2018. What began as a small website with a few tour descriptions and travel reports has evolved steadily since then. In 2022, we began offering guided tours , and many of our early customers have joined us regularly since then.

In 2025, the next step was taken. Who would become a mountain guide just to sit almost exclusively in an office after three years? =) That's why Simo joined the team in March and has been your first point of contact for inquiries ever since. Armin has been an integral part of the team since the very beginning. Long before our mountain guide training, we were able to fight countless battles together in the mountains. Our wives claim we spend more time together than at home. Which, of course, isn't true! ;)

The three of us have a long friendship and we are happy to pass on the relaxed and humorous spirit that we share to you!

Capo South Tyrol Alpine

I was born and raised on the grassy hills of the Sarntal Alps. As beautiful as my home mountains are, they don't offer much in terms of mountaineering. Once everything was discovered, the peaks I aimed for soon became higher, the walls steeper, and the challenges greater. As a toddler, I spent many months in an alpine hut. My siblings and I kept our grandmother busy during the long Italian summer holidays, while our parents occasionally came by on weekends to check on things. There used to be arguments when friends were allowed to go to the pool and we had to head out into the mountains again, but today I'm infinitely grateful for that time. It gave me a healthy dose of closeness to nature and countless memories of carefree hours in the fresh air. Looking back, the path seemed clear. Nevertheless, it took many intermediate steps and detours before I became a mountain guide. For 15 years, I volunteered for the South Tyrolean Alpine Association, taking children and young people climbing, mountaineering, and on hut camps. I also taught numerous climbing courses at the Vertikale climbing hall in Brixen and worked part-time in an office, then reinvested all the money I earned back into mountaineering. In 2019, I decided to complete the mountain guide training in South Tyrol with Armin, swapped the screen for a rope and ice axe, and now work full-time as a state-certified mountain and ski guide. Since 2019, my little daughter has also been waiting at home to make sure I return safely from my tours.

Planning, organization and customer contacts

I grew up in the mountains of South Tyrol and knew from an early age that nature was my sanctuary. I still remember very well how, as a little girl, I would climb onto the kitchen counter to get to the chocolate hidden in my mom's top drawer :-) Many of my friends spent their weekends in bars and discos, but I was increasingly drawn to the outdoors and to the heights, where I found peace and joy in exercise. Since nothing in my hometown is straight once you leave the house, my love for mountain sports quickly ignited and has never faded since. In my youth, I hiked from home to Venice with my then-boyfriend. It was an experience that sparked a new enthusiasm for long-distance travel and bigger goals. I also slowly discovered my talent for organizing and planning tours. Whether it was a family vacation or a spontaneous weekend trip – I was always the first to come up with an idea. The best part: I also indirectly got to decide where the trip would take me. To date, I've visited many special places around the world, always with my climbing harness, trekking poles, or touring skis in my luggage. I worked for a long time at the Vertikale climbing hall in Brixen, managing the entrance area and the bar, and teaching climbing courses for all ages and climbing levels. I also helped with major sport climbing competitions and supervised summer groups for children. Our climbing trips regularly took us to Lake Garda and the Höhlenstein Valley, and are associated with many wonderful memories. Now, together with Andi and Armin, I dedicate my professional life to planning and organizing mountain tours and special active holidays. It's important to me that the tours are not only an unforgettable experience for the customers, but also offer them the opportunity to experience the beauty of the mountains and the freedom of outdoor sports!

I grew up in Mühlbach, at the entrance to the Pustertal Valley. The desire to become a mountain guide only matured over time. While I've always loved being active, whether skiing on the mountain or skateboarding in the valley was secondary to me back then. The main thing was exercise and fun. Only later did I try out various alpine disciplines with friends and found pleasure in pursuing my passion for exercise in the mountains. The various facets of mountaineering and the constantly changing mountain landscape fascinated me. During numerous mountaineering and climbing tours at home and abroad, my desire to pursue a career in this field grew ever stronger. In 2020, I began my mountain guide training with Andreas and have been working as a mountain guide full-time ever since. Even today, the difficulty of the challenge is not my priority, but rather the joy of exercise. I want to pass on this joy and enable people to have a safe mountain experience.
