The Rieserferner Group is located northeast of Bruneck in the Pustertal Valley . A wildly romantic mountain range with numerous solitary peaks, hiking trails, and fantastic ridges. The area has a lot to offer, and along the line of the Schneebiger Nock , Magerstein , Hochgall , Lenkstein , and Dreieckspitze , you'll find numerous glacial areas that shape the landscape. The mountain flanks are green, crisscrossed by numerous streams and waterfalls (which, incidentally, are also ideal for ice climbing in winter), as well as rugged granite walls with beautiful, wild ridges. Even in winter, this is a snow-sure region that entices with numerous fantastic ski tours . By fair means: In the summer months, this motto is also used for climbing the Hochgall. No lift helps with shortcuts. It's a classic in the Rieserferner Group, not least thanks to its beautiful shape, yet you don't usually meet many other mountaineers, even in peak season. The climbing on the northwest ridge is enjoyable and never difficult, and the rock quality is excellent. However, the approach and the entire tour are long and demanding. However, the tour can be split into two days with an overnight stay in the cozy Kasseler Hut .
