As a result, this variant features significantly more abseiling, scrambling, and via ferrata sections up to difficulty levels C/D. The tour offers a few absolute highlights that are truly unique and make this variant an unforgettable experience—even for those who have already completed the classic Selvaggio Blu.
CORSICA
GR20
The Grande Randonée No. 20 is considered one of the most challenging long-distance hiking trails in Europe. Rugged landscapes, solitude, intense heat during the day, and bitter cold at night in the high altitudes may not sound so appealing at first. But the GR20 runs right through a breathtaking mountain landscape across the Corsican island. Unique panoramas, picturesque swimming holes, wildly romantic pastures inhabited by wild horses, and a landscape impressively shaped by wind and weather make it a very special trekking experience. Etna and Stromboli

In addition to the 3,340-meter-high Mount Etna in Sicily, which makes headlines with its spectacular annual eruptions and features the entire spectrum from lava fountains to Strombolian explosions and glowing lava flows, we will also visit Stromboli, the namesake of one of the aforementioned eruption types itself, which is even more regularly active: It hurls glowing lava and boulders from its crater in explosive eruptions every half hour.
