CLIMBING TRIPS

TO THE BEST ROCKS ON EARTH

EUROPE

SARDINIA
Italy
Climbing in Sardinia means the best rock, Mediterranean flair, and Sardinian hospitality combined with some of the most beautiful bays and beaches in the entire Mediterranean. It is an island of superlatives when it comes to both the climbing opportunities and the beauty of the places where you climb. During this climbing week, we will visit the best and most beautiful sport climbing crags in and around Cala Gonone and also have the opportunity to climb one or two multi-pitch routes. We will explore the vast range of options in the Golfo di Orosei by boat, car, or on foot directly from our accommodation. We will end our climbing sessions comfortably on the beach and in the evening with a communal dinner. This is a climbing trip for connoisseurs who nevertheless attach great importance to not neglecting the climbing sessions.

FINALE - LIGURIE
Italy
With over 3,000 climbing routes, Finale is one of the largest sport climbing areas in Europe. Intensive climbing has taken place here since the 1970s and 1980s, making it Italy's most traditional climbing area. The first routes, especially on Monte Cucco, Rocca di Corno, and Rocca di Perti, were developed practically at the dawn of sport climbing. The range of climbable rocks in and around Finale is vast. The climbing is highly technical and ideal for honing your climbing technique. Once you've worked your fingers to the bone on the rough limestone slabs, Finale has plenty more to offer. Picturesque bays, towns, and culinary delights with excellent Italian cuisine round out this climbing trip and make it a thoroughly successful one, guaranteed to make a major leap forward in your climbing technique during this week.

LAKE GARDA
Italy
Arco is legendary among climbers. One of the oldest, most traditional, and most beautiful climbing areas in the world awaits us. The possibilities and rock offerings in this region are virtually insatiable, and new sectors and countless new routes are opened every year. Between olive groves and picturesque landscapes rise the limestone ridges, where you can find the finest climbing routes. Italian hospitality, excellent cuisine, and probably the most delicious ice cream from one of Arco's ice cream parlors, a place that seems to consist only of sports shops and ice cream parlors, create a unique atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Anyone who climbs must do it in Arco at least once in their life: the mecca of the climbing scene, so to speak.

SICILY
Italy
As soon as it gets too cold in many parts of Europe and the rainy and unpleasant days of late autumn arrive, the ideal moment to escape these gray days has arrived. The best place to head is Sicily. Even in November, sport climbing conditions are still ideal here. The crowds that are found here during peak season have long since disappeared, and a relaxed calm descends upon San Vito lo Capo, the island's sport climbing hotspot. Dreamy sunsets and climbing right by the sea, combined with Sicilian hospitality, are the ideal ingredients for a top-notch climbing holiday.

KALYMNOS
Greece
Kalymnos combines climbing with the flair of vacation and relaxation like few other places. With over 4,000 routes of all difficulty levels, crystal-clear waters, stunning bays, and an ideal climate, it offers everything a sport climber's heart desires – and all within a mere 110 km². This Greek island is perfect for a climbing vacation through and through. The climbing areas are close together and can be easily reached by moped. Brilliant rock with stunning tufa routes and perfect protection await us. It's not without reason that Kalymnos is so popular in the climbing scene, and everyone who has ever been to the island raves about it. A climbing trip you definitely shouldn't miss.

VERDON
France
The Verdon Gorge in southern France is one of the best climbing areas in Europe. Since the 1970s, climbing history has been written in one of Europe's largest canyons, with a length of 21 kilometers and a depth of up to 700 meters. Excellent rock quality and the unique fact that many routes first involve abseiling into the gorge from the top and then climbing back up again make this gem among the climbing areas in the heart of Provence so special. Often, there is no way out. The only way back up leads up. There are also numerous wonderful, less demanding routes that are ideal for beginners and recreational climbers.

TENERIFE
Spain
Tenerife is a gem for sport climbing enthusiasts. The island has a relatively young climbing history, and especially in the more recent past, a group of motivated locals has developed the island's incredibly diverse and stunningly beautiful climbing areas. From climbing directly above the roaring sea to the crags at over 2,000 meters at the foot of Spain's highest mountain, the 3,718-meter-high Pico del Teide, it's all there. The peak acts like a watershed, dividing the island into a lush green northern part and a dry southern part with cacti and hardwood trees, giving the relatively small island two completely different faces and an almost incredible diversity – both in terms of landscape and climbing technique. So, forget about Tenerife being the island for retirees.

LOFOTEN
Norway
The Lofoten Islands are a landscape that couldn't be painted more beautifully. A deep blue sea with azure accents, lush green blueberry bushes growing beneath dreamy birch forests, interspersed with idyllic red wooden cottages, and above them, dark granite walls of the finest quality, from which we'll hang and observe this unique landscape from a very special perspective. Climbing in the Lofoten Islands is the finest crack climbing, requiring a great deal of initiative. In keeping with local climbing ethics, we will leave no trace on our tours and secure the routes entirely with mobile belay devices. For me personally, the Lofoten Islands are still the most scenic place I've ever visited. A very special climbing trip where we'll primarily be climbing alpine multi-pitch routes.

ASIA

OMAN
Desert Sultanate
Thankfully, Oman has not yet been discovered by the masses as a travel destination. But that will only be a matter of time. A country that has so much to offer, from an impressive culture to breathtaking landscapes, has everything you need for a perfect holiday destination. What is even better, however, is the fact that Oman has some fantastic climbing opportunities. In recent years, countless climbing areas have been developed and climbing gardens with the best protection have been set up in the most beautiful locations. And the potential is far from being exhausted. A country that is still in its infancy compared to its possibilities. A desert sultanate awaits us here that can hardly be put into words.

AFRICA

SOUTH AFRICA
Climbing and Safari
South Africa is one of the best climbing areas in the world, not least because of the world-famous Rocklands, especially among boulderers. This vast area north of Cape Town, with its thousands of bouldering stones of outstanding quality, is rightly considered one of the best bouldering spots in the world. But the Western Cape region in southwest South Africa has much more to offer; especially for sport climbing, there are countless wonderful areas spread throughout the region. The exotic flora and fauna also invite you to explore this facet of South Africa. On a safari, we will search for the so-called Big Five. We will also take several excursions to beautiful natural monuments on our rest days.

MOROCCO
Climbing in the country of the Berbers
The climbing trip to Morocco takes us into the heart of the Atlas Mountains and thus into the ancient cultures of the Berber peoples spread throughout North Africa. However, the term "Berber" is merely a collective term for a multitude of different tribes and ways of life. Our journey takes us to the Berbers, who have inhabited the Atlas Mountains since time immemorial and have built their livelihood here as shepherds. Incredible hospitality awaits us at Said's Gite d'Etape in Taghia, a village accessible only by a two-hour hike. A climber's dream awaits us up here: limestone cliffs up to 800 meters high, of the highest quality, with wonderful multi-pitch routes of all difficulty levels. Sport climbing will also be part of this unforgettable week, where the only thoughts will be about climbing – as cell phone reception is nonexistent up here.
