Italy
Climbing in Sardinia means superb rock, Mediterranean flair and Sardinian hospitality, combined with some of the most beautiful bays and beaches in the entire Mediterranean. It is an island of superlatives, both in its climbing opportunities and in the beauty of the places where you climb. During this climbing week we will visit the best and most beautiful sport climbing crags in and around Cala Gonone and will also have the chance to climb one or two multi-pitch routes. By boat, by car or on foot straight from our accommodation, we will explore the huge range of options in the Golfo di Orosei. We will round off our climbing sessions relaxing on the beach and in the evening over dinner together. A climbing trip for those who like to enjoy themselves but still want plenty of time on the rock.
FINALE - LIGURIA
Italy
With more than 3,000 climbing routes, Finale is one of the largest sport climbing areas in Europe. People have been climbing intensively here since the 1970s and 80s, which makes Finale the climbing area with the richest tradition in Italy. On Monte Cucco, Rocca di Corno and Rocca di Perti in particular, the first routes were opened practically at the very beginning of sport climbing. The choice of climbable rock in and around Finale is huge. The climbing is very technical and ideal for refining your own climbing technique. Once you've climbed your fingers raw on the rough limestone slabs, Finale has plenty more to offer. Picturesque bays, towns and culinary delights with excellent Italian cuisine round off this trip and make it a thoroughly successful climbing trip – with the guarantee of taking a big leap forward in your climbing technique during this week.
LAKE GARDA
Italy
Arco is legendary among climbers. One of the oldest, most traditional and most beautiful climbing areas in the world awaits us. The possibilities and the sheer amount of rock in this region are virtually inexhaustible, and new sectors are still developed and countless new routes opened every year. Between olive groves and picturesque landscapes rise the limestone crags with climbing routes of the finest quality. Italian hospitality, superb food and probably the most delicious ice cream from one of the gelaterias in Arco – a town that seems to consist only of sports shops and gelaterias – create a unique atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Anyone who climbs has to climb in Arco at least once in their life: the mecca of the climbing scene, so to speak.
SICILY
Italy
As soon as it gets too cold in much of Europe and the rainy, dreary days of late autumn set in, the ideal moment has come to escape these grey days. Ideally to Sicily. Even in November, sport climbing conditions here are still ideal. The crowds you find here in high season are long gone, and a relaxed calm settles over San Vito lo Capo, the island's sport climbing hotspot. Dreamy sunsets and climbing right by the sea, combined with Sicilian hospitality, are the perfect ingredients for a climbing holiday at its finest.
KALYMNOS
Greece
Like hardly anywhere else, Kalymnos combines climbing with the feel of a relaxing holiday. With over 4,000 routes of all grades, crystal-clear water, stunning bays and an ideal climate, it has everything a sport climber could wish for - all on just 110 km². This Greek island is perfect for a climbing holiday through and through. The crags are close together and easy to reach by moped. Superb rock with fantastic tufa routes and perfect bolting awaits us. It is no coincidence that Kalymnos is so popular in the climbing scene, and everyone who has been to the island raves about it. A climbing trip you really should not miss.
VERDON
France
The Verdon Gorge in the south of France is one of the best climbing areas in Europe. Since the 1970s, climbing history has been written in one of Europe's largest canyons, 21 kilometres long and up to 700 metres deep. Excellent rock quality and the unique fact that on many routes you first abseil into the gorge from above and then climb back up make this gem among climbing areas in the heart of Provence so special. Often there is no way out at the bottom at all. The only way back leads upwards. There are also plenty of wonderful routes of a less serious character that are ideal for beginners and leisure climbers.
TENERIFE
Spain
Tenerife is a gem for sport climbing enthusiasts. The island has a relatively young climbing history, and especially in the more recent past a group of motivated locals has developed the island’s incredibly varied and stunningly beautiful climbing areas. From climbing right above the roaring sea to crags at over 2,000 metres at the foot of Spain’s highest mountain, the 3,718-metre Pico del Teide, there is something for everyone. The summit acts like a watershed, dividing the island into a lush green north and a dry south with cacti and hardy succulent plants, which gives this relatively small island two completely different faces and an almost unbelievable diversity – both in its landscapes and its climbing. So much for Tenerife being an island for pensioners.
LOFOTEN
Norway
The Lofoten Islands are a landscape you could not paint more beautifully. A deep blue sea with azure highlights, lush green carpets of blueberries growing beneath dreamy birch woods, idyllic little red wooden houses in between, and above them dark granite walls of the finest quality, where we will hang and view this unique landscape from a very special perspective. Climbing in Lofoten means the finest crack climbing, which demands a great deal of self-reliance. In keeping with the local climbing ethic, we will leave no trace on our climbs and protect the routes entirely with removable gear. For me personally, Lofoten is still the most beautiful place, in terms of scenery, that I have ever had the chance to visit. A very special climbing trip on which we will mainly be climbing alpine multi-pitch routes.

OMAN
Desert sultanate
Fortunately, Oman has not yet been discovered by the masses as a travel destination. But that is only a matter of time. A country with so much to offer, from an impressive culture to breathtaking landscapes, has everything it takes to be the perfect holiday destination. Even better, though, is the fact that Oman offers some truly brilliant climbing. In recent years countless climbing areas have been developed, and crags with excellent bolting have been set up in the most beautiful locations. And the potential is far from exhausted: compared with its possibilities, the country is still in its infancy. A desert sultanate awaits us here that can hardly be put into words.

SOUTH AFRICA
Climbing and Safari
South Africa ranks among the best climbing destinations in the world, not least because of the Rocklands, which are world-famous, especially among boulderers. This vast area north of Cape Town, with its thousands of boulders of superb quality, is rightly counted among the best bouldering spots on earth. But the Western Cape region in the south-west of South Africa has far more to offer: for sport climbing in particular, there are countless wonderful crags spread across the region. The exotic flora and fauna also invite you to explore this side of South Africa. On a safari, we will go in search of the so-called Big Five. On rest days, we will also take a few excursions to beautiful natural landmarks.
MOROCCO
Climbing with the Berbers
The climbing trip to Morocco takes us right into the heart of the Atlas Mountains and thus right into the ancient cultures of the Berber peoples found throughout North Africa. However, the term Berber is merely a collective name for a wide variety of different tribes and ways of life. Our journey takes us to Berbers who have always inhabited the Atlas Mountains and have made their living here as herders. Incredible hospitality awaits us at Said's gîte d'étape in Taghia, a village that can only be reached on a two-hour walk. Up here, a dream for every climber awaits us: limestone walls up to 800 metres high, of the very best quality and with wonderful multi-pitch routes in all grades. Sport climbing is also on the programme during this unforgettable week, when all our thoughts revolve around climbing alone – because there is simply no mobile phone reception up here.
