ABOUT THE TRIP

Finale Ligure - Climbing Trip: With over 3,000 climbing routes, Finale is one of the largest sport climbing areas in Europe. Intensive climbing has been taking place here since the 1970s and 1980s, making it the most traditional climbing area in Italy. The first routes, especially on Monte Cucco, Rocca di Corno, and Rocca di Perti, were developed practically at the dawn of sport climbing. The range of climbable rocks in and around Finale is vast. The climbing is very technical and ideal for honing your climbing technique. Once you've worn your fingers to the bone on the rough limestone slabs, Finale has plenty more to offer. Picturesque bays, towns, and culinary delights with excellent Italian cuisine round out this climbing trip and make it a thoroughly successful one, guaranteed to make a major leap forward in your climbing technique during this week.

HIGHLIGHTS

- Endless climbing areas and sectors of all difficulty levels
- Climbing opportunities year-round
- Not only one of the oldest but still one of the best sport climbing areas in the world
- Mediterranean flair and excellent Italian cuisine ensure a thoroughly enjoyable climbing day

PROGRAM

Day 1: Arrival
We will meet either directly in Finale Ligure (the exact meeting point will be determined after booking) or at a suitable meeting point where we will travel together by car or minibus. Upon arrival in Finale, we will check into our accommodation and possibly have the opportunity to do some shopping in town to prepare for the upcoming days of climbing. In the evening, over a cozy dinner, we will listen to the participants' wishes and goals and develop a personalized program for the next few days.

Days 2-6: Climb, Chill, Eat, Sleep, Repeat
5 days of pure climbing on the best limestone, fantastic sectors, and beautiful landscapes. We will quickly notice how our climbing technique, and especially our footwork, adapts to the climbing in Finale, and we will improve day by day. Plenty of climbing technique tips will further promote this development. When our energy levels wane, we end the days in the picturesque old towns (e.g., Finalborgo or Castelbianco) with a cool blonde beer, a gelato, and later, an excellent dinner. The Ligurian coast also beckons with picturesque bays, where we can enjoy a well-deserved cool-off on hot days. One thing is certain: we'll have no shortage of opportunities to make this week a thoroughly successful climbing trip with a fantastic supporting program.

Day 7: Departure
The skin on our fingers is finally worn out, our arms are pumped, our muscles are toned, and our climbing technique has been polished. Happy and hopefully more than satisfied, we'll begin our journey home on day 7 and perhaps test our improved climbing skills at home in the coming days.

Sounds good, but not perfect?

No problem: This is just an idea of how the program for trip could look like. The duration can be extended or shortened as desired. I would be happy to put together a customized itinerary for you or a group, tailored entirely to your ideas and wishes.

Simply send us a non-binding inquiry using the form above.

Any changes to the travel program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
