Home to the Sexten Sonnenuhr , the Drei Zinnen and the Paternkofel , the Dreischusterspitze , and many other dream peaks that would garner considerably more attention elsewhere. But here in this unique part of the Dolomites , the density of outstanding peaks is so high that it's hard to know where to begin. As a whole, the Sexten Dolomites are, in my opinion, the most beautiful mountain region on earth – a personal opinion that not everyone necessarily shares, but anyone who takes the time to delve deeper into this region will often find themselves agreeing with me, to a certain extent. 

Steeped in history, the traces of the First World War are a constant companion here. Relics and remnants of this inglorious era can be found everywhere. Today, we can follow old war paths and iron-clad via ferratas , which lead through the wildest rock formations and up to the peaks in almost as many numbers as the hiking trails down to the valley and at the foot of these mighty peaks. 

In winter, the Sexten Dolomites offer an experience unlike any other ski touring experience for a lifetime. At first glance, the area appears completely unsuitable as a ski mountain, but it's actually brimming with unique opportunities. Those who prefer adventure in the warm summer months will follow in the footsteps of the first climbers on the wild, normal trails , and the solitude of these paths will transport them back to another time.
