The Valpelline valley in the Aosta Valley offers a truly exceptional mountain panorama. It borders directly south of the Valais four-thousand-meter peaks such as the Grand Combin, Dent Hérens, and the Matterhorn. The mountains are accordingly rugged and impressive. Nevertheless, the Valpelline offers wonderful touring opportunities, suitable for beginners and ranging from challenging and lengthy excursions to more demanding routes, depending on the chosen tour.
