Val Maira - Ski Touring Trip: The rustic and wonderfully unspoiled Val Maira in Piedmont is a true gem for ski tourers. Ideal skiing terrain along gentle slopes, with steep rocky peaks towering behind them as a sentinel, characterize this unique valley, far from lifts and mass tourism. In addition to countless touring options and plenty of time to practice practical skills in avalanche awareness, ski technique, tour planning, and emergency management, another highlight awaits us: Manuela and Renato's excellent Occitan cuisine. They will warmly welcome us to their accommodation, the Locanda Mistral. A 5-course menu made with the highest quality local produce and a well-stocked wine cellar await us every evening. A ski touring week that will surely remain in our memories for a long time, both in terms of sport and cuisine.

- Climbs of 800 - 1,400 meters (3-4 hours)

- Skiing on the slopes (parallel turns) should be no problem, allowing you to manage even in deep snow.

PROGRAM

Day 1: Arrival in Piedmont
We will travel to Valle Maira from South Tyrol and Switzerland and meet at our accommodation, the Locanda Mistral. There, we will be greeted by our two mountain guides, Tobi and Andi. We will spend the rest of the evening getting to know each other and enjoying our first culinary experience with Renato and his family.

Day 2 - Day 6: Ski Touring in Valle Maira
The coming days will be all about fantastic ski tours. From easy and short tours for beginners to long and challenging tours, Valle Maira offers us numerous options. The selection of tours will be individually tailored to the group. We will also have the opportunity to incorporate topics such as avalanche awareness, skiing technique, tour planning, and avalanche transceiver search exercises. After our tours, there will be plenty of time to relax and unwind in our accommodation before a five-course menu awaits us every evening.

Day 7: Departure
After an unforgettable week with hopefully countless wonderful and lasting impressions, it's time to say goodbye to this idyllic valley. But who knows, maybe some of you will discover the Valle Maira for yourself and return here soon.
