FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - (FAQs)

Who is this ski mountaineering week suitable for?
This tour is suitable for experienced ski tourers who are comfortable on ski mountaineering tours in the WS to ZS range and want to be out for several days in a row. Good fitness for daily tours around the Brancahütte is important, as is confident movement with skis in high-alpine terrain.

What equipment do I need for the days around Brancahütte?
First and foremost, you need suitable ski touring equipment and solid ski crampons and/or crampons, depending on conditions. The detailed packing list will be sent with the confirmation email. Missing equipment can be hired from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.

Which summits will be climbed on the three touring days?
We do not fix that rigidly in advance. Around the Brancahütte there are several rewarding objectives such as Palon de la Mare, Monte Vioz or Punta San Matteo. Which tours we actually do depends on conditions, the group and the chosen routes – that is exactly what makes these days so varied.
