ABOUT THE TOUR
Three days, three summits, three very different routes through the most famous rock scenery in the Dolomites.
· Difficulty IV (UIAA) · 3 days · Sexten Dolomites
Three Peaks Trilogy – Normal routes: Over 3 days, we climb all three summits of the iconic Three Peaks, the showpieces of the Dolomites. Three varied tours in a special setting in the heart of the Sexten Dolomites.
While most people simply stare up at these towers from below in amazement and can never imagine standing on the summits of these unique rock formations, that is exactly what we will do. From below they look unconquerable. But once you know the easiest routes, a completely different world opens up here, with ledges, hidden passages and enjoyable climbing sections.
Part of the appeal of this trilogy is that each of the three Peaks has its own character. So these three days are not just a sequence of summits, but a well-rounded tour with plenty of variety on the rock and constantly changing perspectives of the famous towers. What the view is like from the summits of the Three Peaks across the surrounding Sexten Dolomites cannot be described – you simply have to experience it for yourself!

PROGRAM
Day 1: Westliche Zinne
A quick note on the programme right away: we will adapt the tour individually and also base the order on the weather and conditions. In terms of difficulty, the Westliche Zinne is similar to the Große Zinne. But the setting is wilder and quieter, as this summit is climbed much less often than the highest of the Three Peaks. So it is a strong opening – not only in climbing terms, but scenically as well.
Total time: 7 h | ↑ 700 m ascent | ↓ 700 m descent | Difficulty: III+ (UIAA)
Day 2: Kleine Zinne
The Kleine Zinne is the most demanding tour of these three days. It is more of an alpine rock climb with several pitches at grade IV, but one that is very enjoyable to climb. The abseil descent on the established rappel line is also a highlight of the day. Anyone who enjoys beautiful, varied climbing on steep Dolomite rock will get their money’s worth here.
↑ 600 m ascent | ↓ 600 m descent | Difficulty: IV (UIAA)
Day 3: Große Zinne
A fitting finale on the third day. With the Große Zinne, another very special summit awaits. After the first two days, you will have become familiar with the terrain and can fully enjoy this tour once again. The climbing sections are enjoyable, the line is logical, and of course it is simply a great feeling to have truly stood on all three summits of the Three Peaks at the end.
Total time: 7 h | ↑ 750 m ascent | ↓ 750 m descent | Difficulty: III+ (UIAA)
Info: We do the Three Peaks as a trilogy on 3 consecutive days. If you would like to include a rest day in between, please state this directly when booking. We will then plan it accordingly. If you would like to climb the Three Peaks independently of one another – for example over several years during your holidays – we of course also offer our regular individual tours to all summits of the Three Peaks.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - (FAQs)
Who is the Three Peaks Trilogy suitable for?
The tour is intended for sure-footed mountaineers with a head for heights and good climbing experience, who want to spend three consecutive days in alpine terrain. Experience on Dolomite rock is helpful, but not essential if the general prerequisites are a good fit.
Can I include a rest day between the tour days?
Yes, that is possible. If you would like a rest day between the three summits, please state this directly when booking. We will then plan the trilogy accordingly as a 4-day variant with a rest day in between.
What equipment do I need to bring?
You will receive the detailed packing list with the confirmation email. Most important are suitable mountaineering boots and clothing for changing conditions. Technical equipment can be hired from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.
