ABOUT THE TOUR
Classic alpine climbing on the Third Sella Tower – via the Jahn Route or the more demanding Vinatzer Route in the Sella Group.
Difficulty IV or VI- (UIAA) · Sella Group
The Third Sella Tower is on many climbers’ wish lists for good reason. Two true classics await here: the slightly easier Jahn Route and the longer, more demanding Vinatzer Route on the west face. Both routes offer exactly what you hope for from a beautiful alpine climbing tour in the Dolomites: solid rock, airy climbing, and a summit that makes you want more from the very approach.
From Sella Pass, the approach is pleasantly short, so we can focus fully on the climbing. Depending on the route chosen, the tour is either a little more relaxed or more athletic, but the character remains the same: classic alpine climbing on one of the best-known towers in the Sella Group. Whether you set your sights on the Jahn Route or the Vinatzer Route, both lines are highly recommended and make for a thoroughly rewarding day in the mountains.

PROGRAM
Day tour: Classic climb on the Sella Tower
We meet at the car park directly at Sella Pass. The exact time will be arranged when booking. After a short gear check, we head to the start of the chosen route on the Third Sella Tower. The approach is already short and pleasant, so we can start the day without any detours.
On the route, we take our time to enjoy the climbing and the character of this classic line in the Sella Group. Of course, there will also be time for some great photos, so this climbing adventure stays with you not only in your memory. Depending on whether you choose the Jahn Route or the Vinatzer Route, the day will be a little more relaxed or a little more demanding, but in both cases a truly beautiful alpine climbing tour awaits.
At the summit, we enjoy the panorama with Sassolungo and Marmolada as the highlights before descending via the normal route back to the car park.
Total time: 6-8 h | ↑ 450 m ascent | ↓ 450 m descent | Difficulty: IV or VI- (UIAA)
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
