Freeride Cortina - Dolomites: Around the host venue of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo, there is a wide range of excellent freeride options. Whether on Tofana or in the Cristallo massif, the setting and overall conditions are truly impressive, and we are fortunate to find brilliant descents through spectacular couloirs or across long Dolomite bowls in an exceptionally striking landscape.
There are tours here in various difficulty levels, and our mountain guides find the right descent to match the participants’ skiing ability, so that the day in the powder becomes a truly rewarding experience.

PROGRAM
Day 1: Freeride in Cortina
Depending on conditions, weather, and options, we arrange a meeting point either in Cortina or a little higher up at Passo Tre Croci. From there, after a short equipment check, we already cover most of the vertical ascent with the cable cars. To reach the starting points of our freeride descent, we often still need to climb or traverse a short section under our own steam in order to find the very best and most worthwhile variants. Climbing skins and touring skis are a major advantage here; otherwise, our options are considerably more limited.
Look forward to spectacular descents in a setting that is truly exceptional worldwide. The Dolomites often only reveal at second glance just how much freeride potential they hold. Depending on snow, visibility, and the group, we choose the right line in the area around Tofana, Cristallo, or on other worthwhile slopes near Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.

Who is freeriding in Cortina suitable for?
This offer is intended for good skiers who want to travel safely in off-piste terrain. The descent is tailored to the participants’ skiing ability, so that a suitable variant can be chosen in the area around Cortina, Tofana, and Cristallo.
What equipment should I bring?
Most important are freeride or touring skis and, if possible, climbing skins, because short climbs or traverses often provide a clear advantage. The detailed packing list is sent with the confirmation email. Equipment can be rented from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.
How is the exact descent chosen?
The choice of route depends on weather, snow conditions, and the ability of the group. That is precisely the great advantage in Cortina d’Ampezzo: there are many options, and the mountain guide selects the line that fits best on the day.
