ABOUT THE TOUR
Via ferratas on Lake Garda are just the thing if you’re already in the mood for rock, sunshine, and a touch of summer feeling while there is still snow in the Dolomites or in other parts of the Alps.
1 day · Lake Garda
Via ferrata on Lake Garda: While there is still plenty of snow on the mountains of the Dolomites and the first spring blossoms are only just beginning to appear in South Tyrol, just about an hour’s drive farther south it is often already T-shirt and gelato weather. Around Lake Garda there is a wide selection of excellent via ferratas in all difficulty levels, and the very easy access from South Tyrol makes it perfect for day trips that bring on that first taste of summer.
We’ll round off these beautiful days with an ice cream or a Veneziano on the piazza in Arco, Riva, or right by Lake Garda. We have a large selection of via ferratas on Lake Garda in our tour programme. Feel free to ask us for advice, or simply write in your enquiry roughly what you have in mind. That way, together we can find the tour that suits you — from relaxed to sporty.

PROGRAM
Day tour: Via ferrata on Lake Garda
We either meet directly at Lake Garda or there is the option of a lift from South Tyrol. The possibilities are varied, but the overall flow is fairly similar. At the starting point, we carry out a brief gear check and, once we have everything together, we hike to the start as a group.
At the start, we put on our equipment — harness, helmet, and via ferrata set. For anyone heading onto a via ferrata for the first time, there is a short introduction to the technique and everything important so that you feel confident on the rock. After that, we move together along the fixed cables through the via ferrata, adjusting pace and route to the group and the chosen line.
After the tour, we treat ourselves to a well-earned aperitivo or a scoop of ice cream around Arco or Riva — somehow that’s simply part of the Lake Garda experience.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
