A long ski touring weekend for everyone who prefers to experience winter in the mountains rustic rather than luxurious.

Ski tour: long weekend – for adventurers: a very special ski touring weekend for everyone who likes things a little more unspoilt. We do without the comfort of a hotel with a spa and stay in winter rooms and bivouacs instead. That is exactly what makes it so appealing.
It is all about the genuine experience of winter in the mountains. With everything we need in our own rucksacks. Simple evenings and a special atmosphere you only find far from the valley.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Fitness for at least 1,200 metres of ascent per day, even with a heavy rucksack. The tours are planned and tailored individually to the participants' fitness
- Confident skiing on piste is a prerequisite, and a day or two of off-piste experience in deep snow won't hurt either
- Slopes of up to max. 35° (and very short sections a little steeper) may occur on this programme
- Bring a readiness for adventure: a heavy rucksack, doing without comfort, cold nights (in a warm sleeping bag), no three-course dinner in the evening and no buffet in the morning – but plenty of real, unadulterated experience in the mountains

PROGRAMME
Day 1: Approach to the accommodation
The area we choose for our long adventure weekend on skis will determine where and when we meet. We arrange this when you book. At the starting point of our long ski touring weekend, we first do a thorough gear check. As we will be self-sufficient, we carry plenty of gear, and the rucksacks will be heavy accordingly. Anything unnecessary is sorted out and stays in the car.
Then we are off, heading to our accommodation – either a winter room or a bivouac, where we will cater for ourselves. Depending on our energy reserves and the remaining daylight, we may be able to add a summit with a light pack. In the evening we treat ourselves to dinner from the gas stove.

Day 2: Summit objectives from our base
There is no breakfast buffet today. We will have to make do with what we have hauled up – but it gives us the energy we need for the day ahead. From our cosy accommodation we set off with light packs for beautiful summit objectives. Back at the bivouac or winter room, we round off the day once again with a tasty helping of dinner from a pouch.

Day 3: Tour and descent
Melting snow for water, making coffee, preparing breakfast – once again the day starts with plenty of work, but it is real and intense, in the first warming rays of sunshine right after daybreak. Time passes before we are ready again for a new ski tour.
If possible, we climb one more summit with light packs before collecting our things and returning to civilisation. Or we take everything with us straight away and move a little heavier and slower instead. Back in the valley at the end of the day, we are richer by many experiences and impressions – a weekend you will look back on often and fondly.
Any changes to the programme that may become necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, availability of accommodation, etc.) are always made in consultation with the participants.

Where do we stay on this ski touring weekend?
Depending on the area, we stay in a winter room or a bivouac. That is exactly what gives this weekend its character: simple, unspoilt and close to winter life in the mountains.
How fit and experienced should I be for the weekend?
You should have enough stamina for longer ski tours with a rucksack and enjoy basic conditions. As the area and objectives are tailored individually, we check together when you book whether the weekend is a good match for your experience and fitness.
What equipment do I need to bring?
You will receive the detailed packing list with the confirmation email. The key items are, of course, your ski touring equipment and a suitable rucksack; any missing equipment can be rented from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.
