PROGRAM

Due to the length of this tour, we will arrange a meeting point early at the parking lot of the Sellajochhaus, just below the Sella Pass.

Still in the light of our headlamps, we will hike towards the Comici Hut and, shortly before the hut, branch off towards the north face of the Sassolungo.

At first light, we will begin the 27-pitch route.

We will try to climb the pitches quickly to allow enough time for the long and challenging descent via the Sassolungo's normal route.

Overall, this tour is a very long traverse, climbing one of the longest walls in the Dolomites and descending one of the most difficult normal routes of a 3,000-meter peak in the Dolomites. Full concentration is required throughout the entire day.

Of course, this tour can only be undertaken under absolutely safe weather conditions.

If everything goes well on this day, this tour will be an absolute highlight in the tour book of every alpine climber and Dolomite lover.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
