PROGRAM
We meet in Sulden at the valley station of the Langenstein chairlift.
A quick equipment check and then the ascent to the hut. The meeting point can also be arranged directly at the Hintergrathütte. The approach is perfectly signposted and without any technical difficulties. In the evening, we will briefly discuss the tour and then enjoy a leisurely dinner.
The next morning, we have an early breakfast at the hut (around 4 a.m., depending on the season), and then we can begin the ascent. First, we must reach the ridge. We ascend in the light of our headlamps. Afterwards, we continue over beautiful climbing sections and impressive passages along the Hintergrat towards the summit. Varied climbing with short snowfields and breathtaking views characterize our route, which spits us out directly at the summit cross.
With constant rope security, you can enjoy the tour to the fullest.
Hopefully, the weather is good, we will reach the highest point in South Tyrol after 4-6 hours. The view and panorama of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking.
After a long rest and plenty of time for souvenir photos, we begin the descent back along the normal route to the Payer Hut (approx. 3-4 hours from the summit) and from there down to Sulden.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
