ABOUT THE TOUR
Piz Bernina - Biancograt: The easternmost and only four-thousand-meter peak in the Eastern Alps, and arguably the most beautiful snow ridge in the entire Alps. Piz Bernina boasts these superlatives, stealing the show from the surrounding mountains. The Biancograt is one of the most special tours in the Alps, one that no tour guide should be without. A challenging combined tour that covers the entire spectrum of mountaineering. As if that weren't enough, this tour not only traverses Piz Bernina, but also takes in another absolute dream mountain, Piz Palü.

PROGRAM
Day 1: Ascent to the Tschierva Hut
We meet in Pontresina at the train station and ascend together through the Val Roseg to the Tschierva Hut (approx. 3 hours). There is also the option of taking a horse-drawn carriage to the Hotel Roseg, significantly shortening the ascent (cost approx. €35 per person).
Day 2: Piz Bernina - Bianco Ridge
The next morning, we set off early (approx. 3 a.m. - depending on the season). We first take the newly constructed access path to the Tschierva Glacier. Here, we rope up and remain roped until the end of the day. The first climb is steep to the Fuorcla Prievlusa. Then, we climb over rock to the beginning of the Bianco Ridge. Once we reach Piz Bianco, we face a challenging rocky ridge (grade III) to the highest point of Piz Bernina. We descend via the Spalla Ridge to the Marco e Rosa Hut.
Day 3: Piz Palü - Traverse
The icing on the cake on the third day is the traverse of Piz Palü via the Spinasgrat. We cross the three peaks and descend on the opposite side towards the Diavolezza Hut. From the hut, the cable car takes us back to the valley, and then we take the train to the starting point of the tour in Pontresina.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
