ABOUT THE TOUR
Sledging in South Tyrol brings children and adults alike down into the valley with a wide grin on their faces.
1 day
Sledging is simply great fun. Whether young or old, everyone ends up with a huge smile carved across their face when braking at the end of the toboggan run. South Tyrol offers a wide variety of groomed toboggan runs. Whether you prefer to make the ascent under your own steam or do several runs with lift assistance, we definitely know where to take you.
Fast descents for the more daring or gentle rides for the little ones or the less adventurous. In any case, we will be out in the fresh air. At lunchtime, we will stop at cosy mountain huts to warm up, enjoy local delicacies, and then race back down into the valley with a real blast.
Historically, horn sledges were an important means of winter transport for South Tyrolean mountain farmers, used for carrying hay and timber. Today it is all much more playful, but a bit of technique is still part of it.

PROGRAM
Depending on snow conditions and the tour selected, we will arrange a meeting point after booking. We will then head up together either by lift or on a lovely walk along the toboggan run through what will hopefully be a deeply snow-covered landscape.
At one of the many cosy mountain huts open during the winter months, we will treat our taste buds to excellent cuisine and local delicacies before the fast descent back into the valley. Before setting off, there will also be a short introduction to sledging techniques, because that too has to be learned.
In some ski areas, toboggan runs are also available, allowing us to enjoy linking several runs together and taking the cable cars comfortably back up in between. As soon as we get hungry, there is a lovely selection of great huts here as well, perfect for warming up and refuelling before tackling the next descents.
Sledging in South Tyrol is definitely fun for young and old alike and a wonderful way to spend memorable days together outdoors in the winter landscape.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
