ABOUT THE TOUR
Rötspitze - Normal Route: The Rötspitze is one of the most impressive peaks in the Venediger Group. The tour offers both glacial terrain and a beautiful ridge climb (grade II) to the summit, from where you can enjoy fantastic views down towards the Ahrntal Valley or the wildly rugged Umbalkees, which for a moment feels like you're in the Western Alps. The tour concludes with an overnight stay at the Lenkjöchl Hut. There's also the option of climbing the Dreiherrenspitze on an additional day.

PROGRAM
Starting from the parking lot of the Nature Park House in Kasern, the meeting point for this high-altitude tour, we head toward the Lenkjöchl Hut. (Other meeting points and carpooling can be arranged individually when booking.)
Once everything has been checked and the necessary equipment is in your backpack, we set off.
Passing various remnants of the old mine, we enter the Röttal valley and continue along this valley to the Lenkjöchl Hut. (From Kasern, 3-4 hours)
On the second day, we will head toward the summit. First, we will climb over scree and boulders onto the glacier, and then up to the so-called Little Rötspitze.
Over the initially wide but increasingly narrow and challenging ridge, we will climb beautiful boulder climbing (grades I-II) to the summit.
We return along our ascent route.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
