Snowshoeing at the foot of the Odle/Geisler Group. A very special winter experience. Where the crowds gather in summer, everything becomes wonderfully quiet in winter, and nature grants itself a well-earned rest. We visit this deeply snow-covered landscape, find calm ourselves, and leave everyday life behind.
We are out in the Villnöß Valley in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park.

PROGRAM
Day 1: To the Geisleralm
We meet at the paid car park of the Zanser Alm at the head of the Villnöss Valley. Alternatively, we meet at the car park at the entrance to Villnöss and drive together to the Zanser Alm. Right at the car park, we strap on our snowshoes and hike into the deeply snow-covered landscape. Here we have several options to extend or shorten the tour as we wish and to shape the route depending on refreshment stops. We roughly follow the Adolf-Munkel-Weg, which is very popular in summer, and hike to the Geisleralm, where we can properly refuel. Always in view are the sheer rock faces of the Geislerspitzen, close enough to touch.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.

Where does the snowshoe hike in the Villnöß Valley start?
The meeting point is at the paid car park of the Zanser Alm at the head of the Villnöss Valley. Alternatively, a meeting point at the entrance to Villnöss is also possible, from where we continue together by car.
How demanding is the tour to the Geisleralm?
The tour is designed to be flexible. Walking time, ascent, and difficulty depend on the chosen route and can be extended or shortened. We usually orient ourselves around the area of the Adolf-Munkel-Weg and the Geisleralm.
What do I need for the snowshoe hike?
The exact packing list will be sent with the confirmation email. Most important are winter-proof clothing and snowshoes. Equipment can be rented from Südtirolalpin for a small wear-and-tear fee.
