ABOUT THE TOUR

Sellaronda - Ski Safari - Ski Guiding: The Sellaronda is a highlight for skiers in the Dolomites. It leads through breathtaking scenery around the Sella massif. It passes through three different ski regions of the Dolomiti Superski area. With 1,200 kilometers of slopes, it is one of the largest connected ski areas in the world. A detour to the Marmolada, the highest peak in the Dolomites, is also worthwhile on this circuit. Enjoy a wonderful day on perfectly groomed slopes without the stress of managing this vast ski area. We take care of all the planning and even arrange a delicious lunch at one of the numerous mountain huts. This makes the Sellaronda an unforgettable day on the slopes of South Tyrol.

PROGRAM

There are several starting points for the Sellaronda. We will gladly agree on the most suitable starting point when you inquire, depending on your accommodation location.

The circuit can be skied in either direction: clockwise or counter-clockwise. Both options are highly rewarding, offering different ski slopes and using various lifts.

The route takes you past the Sassolungo, the Sella massif, Sas Pordoi, and the Marmolada. For fast skiers, we also offer the option of a detour to the summit of the Queen of the Dolomites (depending on the number of skiers and our progress, the mountain guide will decide if there's enough time). Other highlights in the immediate vicinity of the ski slopes include the Sassongher and the Cir peaks. We'll also constantly see impressive Dolomite peaks such as the Civetta, Tofana, Antelao, and the Sassolungo from ever-changing perspectives. The scenery is truly unique and breathtakingly beautiful, making this a truly one-of-a-kind ski circuit.

... At lunchtime, we'll stop at one of the many restaurants and treat ourselves to a delicious meal. There are some culinary highlights here that you wouldn't expect to find in these rustic mountain huts.

The entire circuit is about 40 kilometers long. Half of this distance is covered by lift, and the other half on the slopes.

Depending on the number of skiers, you should allow 4-5 hours (excluding breaks).

Optional options:

- The entire Sellaronda circuit can be extended with numerous beautiful slopes that are omitted from the classic route. Our mountain guides will plan ahead based on the number of skiers, their skill level, and their energy levels, ensuring you get the most out of the day.

- For fast skiers, there's also the option of a detour to the Marmolada. The view from the platform at the summit of the highest mountain in the Dolomites is an absolute highlight.

We also offer a Sellaronda tour for freeriders, where we travel partly on groomed slopes but mostly in the backcountry, skiing in deep powder through the Sella massif. Check out our offers in the Freeriding category if you're interested!

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
