ABOUT THE TOUR
Ski mountaineering - 4,000-meter peaks in the Western Alps: The high peaks of the Western Alps are a worthwhile destination not only in summer. Many of the 4,000-meter peaks are even ideal for skiing and are much more enjoyable to climb on touring skis. This saves you the often endless trek across the vast glaciers, especially on the descent. Dreamy light on the ascent makes up for the early start, and the panoramas from the snow-covered 4,000-meter peaks to the surrounding neighboring peaks are breathtaking. An unforgettable experience for anyone who loves ski mountaineering.

PROGRAM
Depending on the tour selected, we will agree on a meeting point and a time to depart on time.
The tour itinerary naturally varies depending on the tour. However, this is roughly the itinerary in most cases.
Day 1: Hut Approach
After a brief gear check, we usually head to the hut after arrival on the first day, arriving no later than the early afternoon. Since the sun is already strong in spring, when these tours are ideally done, and the snow melts quickly in the afternoon, we will enjoy the afternoon on the sun terrace and discuss our tour for the next day and prepare everything for the summit climb. We will adjust crampons, adjust harnesses, and perhaps discuss a few basics of walking on glaciers if this is your or other group members' first ski tour in the Western Alps.
Day 2: Summit
We'll set off early for our ski mountaineering adventures. After breakfast in the hut, we set off by the light of our headlamps or at dawn. We'll already be high up as soon as the sun bathes the mountain peaks around us in a golden glow. The ever-changing colors of a dawn not only make up for the early rise but also offer a beautiful atmosphere, and as dawn breaks, we forget the effort of the climb. We'll be climbing the glaciers as a rope team. At the summit, we'll enjoy a breathtaking panorama. Not many peaks will obscure our view, as we'll likely be looking down on most of the Alpine peaks from above 4,000 meters. A breathtaking panorama. With good conditions and the right timing, we'll have some beautiful snow slopes where we can ski back down to the valley almost effortlessly.
Additional days at the hut with multiple tour options or even a traverse are available upon request! Our mountain guides certainly have no shortage of ideas!
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
