PROGRAM
We meet at Passo Tonale, at the valley station of the Paradiso gondola. There is also a large parking lot for cars.
After a quick equipment check, we get a cable car ticket and let our adventure begin.
Day 1: Cresta Croce (Rifugio Caduti dell'Adamello)
We take the cable car to Passo Presenta. This is followed by a descent to Rifugio Mandron. We continue to Cresta Croce, where the 6-ton Cannon 149 stands. A relic from World War I. It's inconceivable that this colossus was pulled here by Italian mountaineers on sleds. Afterwards, we descend to Rifugio Caduti dell'Adamello.
Day 2: Monte Adamello (Rifugio Mandron)
We climb across the relatively flat glacier of the Vedretta del Mandrone to the summit of the 3,539-meter-high Monte Adamello. This is followed by a descent down to the Rifugio Mandron, our base camp for the following overnight stay.
Day 3: Vedretta di Pisganin and Monte Mandrone
On the third day of our Adamello crossing, we ascend to the Passo del Lago Pisgana and continue over the Vedretta di Pisganin glacier to the summit of Monte Mandrone (3,281 meters). The final descent across the glacier into the Valle Nascanello and beyond to Ponte di Legno is an absolutely breathtaking descent with almost 2,000 meters of elevation gain, easily rivaling the most beautiful descents in the Alps.
The crossing of the Adamello group is an absolute highlight in any ski mountaineer's tour report, with three magnificent peaks and stunningly beautiful ski runs.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
