ABOUT THE TOUR
Allalinhorn and Strahlhorn - Normal Route: The Allalinhorn and Strahlhorn are two four-thousand-meter peaks on the itinerary, both particularly impressive due to their impressive glacier landscapes and unique panoramic scenery. Vast expanses of ice with enormous crevasse systems provide a vivid impression of the forces at work in these landscapes and why they so captivate us mountaineers. On this tour, we will indeed be traveling almost exclusively on glaciated terrain, climbing two of the highest peaks in the Alps. Thanks to its moderate difficulty and the cable car, this tour is also ideal for beginners in mountaineering and anyone looking to experience their first four-thousand-meter summit.

PROGRAM
Day 1: Allalinhorn
We meet at 6:30 a.m. at the valley station of the Saas Fee cable cars, which travel up to Mittelallalin. (The parking lot in the car-free village of Saas Fee is located in the large parking garage at the village entrance.) Afterwards, we'll get a cable car ticket and take the first cable car at 7:00 a.m. First, by cable car and later by the world's oldest funicular, we'll reach the glacier directly. We're already at 3,456 meters, and there are only 750 meters of elevation left to climb to reach the summit of the Allalinhorn. A magnificent panorama awaits us, revealing the entire Valais mountain range. The climb is a delight without too many technical difficulties and also serves as an acclimatization. After a rest at the summit and admiring the incredible panorama, we'll begin the descent back to the top station of the Metro Alpin and take it to Felskinn. From there, we have about an hour's walk to the Britannia Hut—our destination for today.
Day 2: Strahlhorn
On the second day, the Strahlhorn is on the agenda. Another technically easy four-thousand-meter peak, which nevertheless leads through an impressive glacial landscape with numerous crevasses and glacial breaks. The climb is long, but there's much less traffic than on the Allalinhorn. In total, we'll have just over 1,400 meters of elevation gain to cover today. A wonderful glacier tour, with a first-class backdrop. The summit of the Strahlhorn is even slightly higher than that of the Allalinhorn. Our descent takes us back along the ascent route past the Britannia Hut back to Felskinn, where we take the cable car for the rest of the descent.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
