PROGRAM

Day 1: Brixen (Plose) - Schlüterhütte
We meet in St. Andrä (a district of Brixen) at the valley station of the Plose cable car. We take the gondola to Kreuztal at 2,050 meters and then hike leisurely along the Woody Walk to the Rossalm. Our path continues past the Schatzerhütte and down to the Halshütte, where we will fortify ourselves for the rest of the journey. Our next destination will be the Peitlerscharte col, from where we will then quickly reach our destination for the day, the Schlüterhütte, via the Kreuzkofeljoch col.
6 hours – ↑ 750 meters elevation gain – ↓ 500 meters elevation gain – 15 km

Day 2: Schlüterhütte - Puezhütte
We leave the Villnößtal valley and hike below the Medalges past the Kreujoch col up to the Roascharte col. Below Piz Duleda and the Puezspitze, we reach the Puez Hut, beautifully situated high above the Vallunga valley—our destination for the second stage.
4.5 hours – ↑ 750 meters in altitude gain – ↓ 550 meters in altitude gain – 10 km

Day 3: Puez Hut - Bamberger Hut (Rifugio Boe)
We cross the Crespeina Plateau and pass the Ciampei Pass, over the Crespeina Pass, and then the Cirjoch Pass down to the Sella Pass. This is followed by the key passage of the entire week: through the impressive Val Setus Gorge, partly on cable-secured sections, we ascend to the beautifully situated Pisciadu Hut, where we will refuel for the rest of the hike. In the afternoon, we continue through the Val de Tita up to the lunar landscape of the Sella Plateau, where we soon reach our destination for the day, the beautiful and modernized Boe Hut (Bamberger Hut).
7 hours – ↑ 1,250 meters elevation gain – ↓ 800 meters elevation loss – 13.5 km

Day 4: Bamberger Hut - Rifugio Falier
From the Bamberger Hut, we head to the Pordoi Pass without gaining or losing much elevation and then continue on to Sas Pordoi. From here, we treat ourselves to a cable car ride down to the Pordoi Pass. Following the Bindelweg trail, we reach Lake Fedaia below the Marmolada. From the lake, a taxi takes us to Malga Ciapela on the south side of the 800-meter vertical rock face of the Marmolada. We'll have ample opportunity to admire this rock face during the subsequent ascent to Rifugio Falier.
6.5 hours – ↑ 1,050 meters of elevation gain – ↓ 650 meters of elevation gain – 14.5 km

Day 5: Rifugio Falier - Rifugio Valles
We leave the hut, which is particularly popular with climbers, most of whom aim for the south face of the Marmolada, and ascend to the Pas de Ombretola and further to the Pas de Cirele. Descending past the Rifugio Fuciade, we reach the Pellegrino Pass. We take the cable car to Col Margherita. The last section of this day takes us over the Forcella Predazzo to the Passo Valles and the refuge of the same name.
7.5 hours – ↑ 850 meters of elevation gain – ↓ 1,500 meters of elevation gain – 17.5 km

Day 6: Rifugio Valles - Rifugio Rosetta
The imposing Pala Group now lies before us. Via the Forcella Vanegia, we reach the Segantini Hut across beautiful alpine meadows. We descend to Passo Rolle and reach Rifugio Rosetta, the destination of today's stage, via the Sentiero Finanzieri trail.
7 hours – ↑ 1,200 meters of elevation gain – ↓ 800 meters of elevation gain – 16 km

Day 7: Rifugio Rosetta - San Martino di Castrozza
The final day is all downhill. The descent via trail 701 to San Martino di Castrozza is on the agenda. A taxi will pick us up there and take us back to Brixen, where we will arrive in the early afternoon.
3 hours – ↓ 1,150 meters of elevation gain – 6 km
