ABOUT THE TOUR

Freeride Marmolada - Dolomites: The Queen of the Dolomites is not only the highest peak in the Dolomites but also a fantastic mountain for freeriding, with wide slopes and plenty of space for a variety of downhill runs. The Marmolada is regularly covered in fresh snow, and due to its altitude, the amount of snow is usually above average. This creates the perfect conditions for some truly fantastic days every winter, carving your own tracks in the deep snow on the vast glacier slopes with ideal steepness. A highlight is definitely the Marmolada Canyon, which we won't miss, conditions permitting. From the mountain station at the summit to the lowest point at Malga Ciapela, we have 1,800 vertical meters of descent to cover in a single lap. Prepare to be amazed by an unforgettable freeride adventure in the heart of the Dolomites.

PROGRAM

There are several possible starting points for a day of freeriding on the Marmolada. Depending on where you are spending your vacation, we will plan the day accordingly. With the help of the ski lifts of the vast Dolomiti Superski area, freeriding on the Marmolada can also be wonderfully started from Selva, Val Badia, Canazei, or Arabba, and completed entirely on skis. On the way there and back, we can occasionally explore a few smaller off-piste routes.

At Malga Ciapela, a total of three gondolas take you up almost 2,000 meters to the highest point. Before we begin our freeride descent, we won't miss a visit to the viewing platform with its truly breathtaking panorama and spectacular view directly down over the 800-meter-high Marmolada south face.

There are several options, but of course, we can't miss a detour to the Marmolada Canyon, which, hidden away, provides a very special highlight on this descent.

Look forward to a varied and truly unique day of freeriding on the Marmolada. While it may require some patience while waiting in line for the gondola, this tour boasts breathtaking panoramas and fantastic descents! And who can blame the many people for wanting to experience the view from the highest point in the Dolomites?

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
