PROGRAM
There are several possible starting points for the Alpine Infantry Tour. We will be happy to arrange the most suitable starting point upon request – depending on the area you are staying in. Whether it's Val Gardena, Val Badia, Cortina...
The tour is 82 kilometers long in total and can be done in two different directions: clockwise or counterclockwise. I recommend splitting the tour into two days. There are wonderful overnight accommodations, for example, on the summit of Lagazuoi or at the Scoiattoli Hut near the Cinque Torri. Depending on your starting point, other accommodations are also possible.
We are traveling in one of the largest connected ski regions in the world: Dolomiti Superski is the name of this ski carousel, which offers us unimagined opportunities to add further highlights to our Alpine Infantry Tour over these two days, depending on our mood. With the Dolomiti Superski Pass, we can use all the lifts in the entire region.
Along the way, we'll enjoy the unique panorama of the Dolomites, with the peaks of Sella, Marmolada, Civetta, Pelmo, Cinque Torri, Tofana, Lagazuoi, Conturines, and Sassongher. All of them are silent companions on this wonderful tour. Traces of World War I can be discovered everywhere: wartime relics, communication trenches carved into the rocks, battlements, and forts.
We'll stop for lunch at one of the numerous restaurants and indulge in a delicious meal. Here, too, you'll find some culinary highlights you'd hardly expect to find in these rustic huts.
We'll be skiing on the most famous and longest ski slopes in the Dolomites. This ski circuit is unique in the world and an absolute highlight in every skier's life. For those who already know the Sellaronda and want to take it up a notch, there's no way around the Alpine Infantry Circuit.
Tip: For very experienced skiers, it's also possible to complete this circuit in one day. This requires a very early start, as soon as the first cable cars start operating, and rapid progress. A quick detour for lunch is possible, but there won't be any other options for refreshments. If we go too slowly, a taxi ride from the valley where we got stuck will be necessary. Upon request, we can also tackle the Mountain Infantry Circuit in one day.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
