ABOUT THE TRAINING
Ortovox Safety Academy - Basic Avalanche Training Course: The right equipment is essential in the mountains, but without solid knowledge of how to use it, you're helpless in an emergency. The Safety Academy "Basic Training" Avalanche Course is perfect for beginners, as well as advanced climbers who want to refresh their knowledge. You'll receive all the necessary information on how to use avalanche emergency equipment, as well as strategies for a successful rescue of fellow climbers. The course covers the correct behavior after an avalanche accident, with intensive training in searching for buried victims, probing, and quickly and efficiently extricating the buried victim.

PRICING

PROGRAM
We'll meet at the agreed meeting point. After a short climb to reach open terrain, we'll work intensively on the fundamentals of safe ski touring and engage in numerous practical exercises. We'll provide an overview of the necessary equipment and the correct behavior in an emergency. We'll practice rescuing fellow skiers after an avalanche, and each participant will be coached to learn the search and excavation techniques as efficiently and correctly as possible. We'll also impart basic knowledge of snow and avalanches, and develop an understanding of what to look out for while ski touring.
Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
