ABOUT THE TRIP

A truly special snow paradise awaits us on the Greek island of Crete. Imagine carving delicate turns down into the olive groves, with the azure waters of the Mediterranean always in view, and in the evenings, discussing your skiing technique over a glass of Greek wine, having mastered it on these perfect slopes. Crete is definitely an exotic ski touring destination that isn't immediately on everyone's radar. But the conditions on this island so far south are indeed quite good. High mountains rise to almost 2,500 meters from the Mediterranean. In the coldest months, especially December, there is a great deal of precipitation, which in good winters creates a thick blanket of snow that can persist on the slopes of these otherwise barren scree mountains well into April. Add to that a climate that provides spring snow conditions usually only found in southern ski touring areas like the Abruzzo region.

HIGHLIGHTS

- The finest Mediterranean firn snow
- Perfect ski terrain on peaks up to 2,500 meters high
- Greek hospitality
- The best olive oil and a diverse and very healthy cuisine
- Overall, a combination of everything that makes Crete a very special ski touring destination

PROGRAM

In March 2027, we're planning our first ever ski touring trip to Crete. It's an Explorer Trip. Here's a brief explanation of what that means:

EXPLORER TRIPS

If you're easygoing, see yourself as an asset rather than a burden in a group, and stay relaxed even when things don't go perfectly: Welcome to our Explorer Trips.

WHAT ARE EXPLORER TRIPS?

Destinations we haven't yet visited ourselves. Or exotic destinations that are difficult to plan due to unforeseen circumstances. We have a general itinerary in mind, but we'll be very open to changes and experimentation.

WHY WOULD I WANT TO DO THIS?

Good question...

...WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Exactly!

If you agree, then we look forward to your registration...

Sounds good, but not perfect?

No problem: This is just an idea of how the program for trip could look like. The duration can be extended or shortened as desired. I would be happy to put together a customized itinerary for you or a group, tailored entirely to your ideas and wishes.

Simply send us a non-binding inquiry using the form above.

Any changes to the travel program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
