PROGRAM

The meeting point and starting point for the Similaun Alpine Tour is the parking lot at the Vernagt Reservoir in Schnals. (Alternatively, carpooling from Chiusa or Bolzano can be arranged when booking.)

The tour ascends along the secluded and idyllic Tisental Valley to the Similaun Hut. (Walking time approx. 4 hours). On the first day, for example, a visit to the Ötzi Discovery Site is possible (approx. 1 hour from the Similaun Hut).

The second day is dedicated to our ascent to the summit of the 3,599-meter-high Similaun. From the hut, we will reach the summit in approximately 3 hours via the glacier, which is technically easy but offers beautiful scenery high above the Schnals Valley.

From the summit, we still have the descent to Vernagt, where we have parked our car. We look back with great joy on a wonderful alpine tour and beautiful impressions of the glacier high above the Schnals Valley.

Any changes to the program that may be necessary for various reasons (weather, conditions, accommodation booking situation, etc.) will always be made in consultation with the participants.
